Andalusian

The Andalusian is one of the most popular horse breeds. They are also known as the Pure Spanish Horse or Pura Raza Española. Andalusian horses are from the Iberian Peninsula. We celebrate the Andalusian as a warhorse. Historically the bred saw reduced herd numbers in the 19th century due to warfare, disease and crossbreeding, their numbers have since recovered. The Arabian or Arab horse (Hasan in modern standard Arabic) is a breed of horse that originated on the Arabian Peninsula. Also, the Arabian is the most easily identifiable horse in the world. There is archaeological evidence of the Arabian dating back to the Middle East that resemble modern Arabians from over four thousand years ago.
